The standard rate for counselling ranges from $100-$160 per session depending on a counsellor’s experience and qualifications.

My rate is $120/hr for in-person sessions and $100/hr for online sessions. The difference in price reflects the additional time/energy needed to maintain and prepare a physical space for in-person sessions vs. the ease of setting up online sessions.

At the moment, I also have limited room for clients who may prefer to pay on a sliding scale basis. The recommended range for this is $50-80 per session. We can talk about finding an amount you’re comfortable with.

Up until now, I have been able to direct bill:

  • Green Shield
  • Canada Life

I have clients who are able to submit receipts to:

  • Pacific Blue Cross
  • Sunlife

  1. Alberta Blue Cross
  2. Aspiria
  3. Chamber of Commerce
  4. ComPsych
  5. Empire Life

  9. Saskatchewan Blue Cross
  10. TELUS Health now serves clients of Lifeworks, and Morneau Shepell

  12. Select Municipal Fire Departments that provide their own coverage.

If you don’t see your insurer on this list, it’s still worth finding out if they will cover sessions with me. Let me know your details, and I’ll look into it.

I am happy to support you through a wide range of challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, relationship problems, self-esteem, creative blocks, work-life balance, nervous system regulation, childhood/complex trauma, consent, boundaries, somatic tracking and awareness, and more.

There is no set rule to follow when planning sessions. A good rule of thumb is to meet every 1-2 weeks at first in order to get to know each other and get a handle of what you’re facing. Then once you’re feeling more confident moving forward, you may reduce the frequency to twice a month, once a month, or even schedule sessions as needed.

I have a Professional Counselling Diploma from Rhodes Wellness College in Vancouver, BC, where the focus was on experiential learning and a ton of real life practice. I’m registered with the Canadian Professional Counsellor Association as a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate, and with the Association of Cooperative Counsellings Therapist as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor.

I have also trained in NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) basics, an approach for addressing complex trauma.

In addition to these, I have a Bachelors of Arts from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, where I focused on creative arts, a movement education certificate from the Movement Centre in Seattle, WA, and a 200 hour yoga teacher certificate from Karma Teachers in Vancouver.
